Waldorf Hilton

designLSM’s brief for the Waldorf Hilton lounge, lobby and reception area was to reignite the sophistication and glamour for which the hotel was originally renowned.

designLSM reintroduced the traditional panelling, mouldings and antique mirror frames to the reception area to break up the contemporary feel and instilled a sense of drama by using heavy theatrical drapes and elegant lighting.

The minimalist lounge and lobby, which had no sense of arrival for guests, now boasts large chandeliers, feature wallpaper, intricate mouldings and classic furniture. The fully upholstered bench-style seating along the wall and in the window areas, plus the addition of new loose seating, means guests can now relax in comfort.
