Associate Level Interior Designer
– Fixed Term Contract –
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Associate Designer.
This is initially a fixed term contract position, with the potential to become a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
We are looking for an exceptional interior designer to join our busy Brighton based studio, offering a perfect opportunity for someone with a specialist interest in hotel design and lifestyle and luxury hospitality projects.
You will have a proven track record of delivery and management of large-scale hotel projects. Key to your success will be managing a team to create strategic-focused spaces that standout creatively, are technically sound, and commercially successful. You will operate at a senior level and work collaboratively alongside the Directors as part of the senior management team.

About the role
This is a pivotal leadership role, overseeing the design and execution of multiple interior projects from concept to completion. This position involves leading a team, managing client relationships, and ensuring design excellence across all phases. The Associate will act as a creative and strategic leader, driving the firm’s vision, mentoring junior designers, and contributing to business development efforts.
Responsibilities
Successfully lead a team to deliver multiple projects from conception to completion
Inspire your team members as both a manager and mentor, driving creative and strategic thinking to deliver stand out spaces
Manage budgets, programmes and workflows for projects, providing progress reports to the management team
Ensure your projects deadlines are met in line with the overall programme
Lead project workshops, produce concepts and drawing packs and present schemes to clients
Maintain knowledge of up-to-date industry regulations and legislation
Maintain knowledge of best practice in construction
Build lasting relationships with existing and new clients
Conduct effective space planning and detailed interior layouts
Oversee the production of technical drawings and tender packages
Deliver professional on-site management and contract administration
What we are looking for
You will have a minimum of 10 years professional experience in hospitality design and have experience of running large scale hotel projects. You must demonstrate technical expertise, design management and team leader skills. You will be success driven and have a proactive working attitude.
Requirements
Minimum BA (Hons) or MA Interior Architecture qualification
Technical excellence
Effective presentation skills
Keen eye for detail
Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch up, Adobe (Revit & Enscape an advantage)
On site experience
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines
Fluent in written and spoken English
Strong and confident communication skills
