Burger & Lobster

Services | Restaurant Interior Design

Back in 2008 Russian steakhouse group Goodman approached us with the unusual idea of creating a new simplistic casual dining concept, which solely consisted of a Burger and Lobster. Fast-forward to present day and the Goodman notion has now transformed into a thriving restaurant chain.

Our talented team of designers have worked with Burger & Lobster on all of their restaurants in the UK and Internationally, helping to establish the unique brand through signature interior design elements in each of their hugely popular restaurants.

Design detail

Each restaurant has its own unique character with bespoke features designed by DesignLSM, such as a dividing wall constructed from original Nova Scotia lobster pots in Bread Street and the sleek zinc-topped central bar in Soho. For each project we go through a process of deconstruction, removing what isn’t relevant and applying the Burger & Lobster brand to create modern and raw interiors with a warm, relaxed ambience.

Specifically for Threadneedle Street, their largest site in London being housed within a Grade II* banking hall. It was key for our designers to handle the renovations sensitively and pay respect to the existing structure of the building. Integrating the new design subtly into the original architectural features, such as including hand drawn ‘wave tattoos’ up the supporting columns and flowing onto the glass balustrade on the mezzanine level ensuring that the entire space has been carefully curated to appeal to the particular audience situated within this City location. Creating the enjoyable ambience that’s associated with the Burger & Lobster brand.
