Overview
Following the success of DesignLSM’s radical rejuvenation of Gaucho’s thriving steak restaurant in Charlotte Street, London, DesignLSM were re-commissioned to create and implement an interior design concept for the iconic brand’s latest Glasgow location.
Encompassing the entirety of 7 West Nile Street, a relevant, modern and visually engaging concept was curated, connecting Gaucho with the modern day guest – moving the brand away from the reputation of a male dominated steak house.
Design Inspiration
The interior design aims to combine the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, the distinctive wild Argentinian planes, and the urban landscape of Glasgow, to exude a casual, effortless glamour, that crosses the boundaries of urban chic with industrious cowboy(girl) and winemaker.
Creating engaging moments throughout the restaurant, the dramatic monochrome marble-effect bar takes centre stage, whilst the contrasting colour palette of earth tones of the central seating compliment the lavish steel blue velvet booths which elegantly frame the space.
Design Results
From the impactful exterior facade creating a presence on the street, to the warm glow of bar lighting inviting guests to sit for a pre or post dinner drink; every step of the day to night dining experience has been considered.
With the successful completion of Gaucho’s Glasgow location, DesignLSM looks forward to further projects working with the Gaucho brand to create immersive dining experiences across the country.
