Overview
The Vine is an independent restaurant in Sevenoaks, Kent offering fine French cuisine, made with locally sourced ingredients.
Our architectural team were commissioned to realise the client’s vision of creating a simple and refined dining experience within an elegant, contemporary setting.
Design
In addition to the internal refurbishment of the existing restaurant, our architects’ designed a substantial new single storey extension with a zinc-clad roof and mill-finished aluminium brise soleil (sun shade).
The extension’s principal feature is expansive sliding/stacking glazed doors that open onto the green beyond and creates a new glazed ‘box’ entrance into the restaurant. Working with local planners and conservationists, we were pleased to gain full support for the contemporary architectural language of the extension.
