Our brief for Union Bar & Grill was to create a striking display of environmental wall artwork and menus for the newly refurbished London venues in Regents Place and Chiswick.
This project gave us an unusual amount of freedom to interpret our own narrative around the word Union, we considered a number of ideas but finally settled on the concept of ‘Unions’ in nature.
Design outcome
Each illustration typographically and illustratively depicts the collective noun of the animal it is referring to and each piece was designed to be slightly mysterious, amusing and thought provoking to encourage discussion among customers.
We also created typographical wall quotes that work alongside the artwork explaining the concept behind the illustrations. The bold typography in these pieces was carried through into the menu design and flyers.
